The Dahila advanture

As I mentioned in the last post, I was drawn to the Dahlia stamp set from the new PTI release. Once my order arrived, I can't wait to try out the new stamp and ink.

After experimenting different shade of pink ink, I am about to get my stamp wet!

The Dehlia stamp comes with 3 layers (that's why it combines to beautiful shading effect). But problem arises, how do I actually align the 3 stamps? I rotate the 2nd one, or the 3rd one, and after 2 hours I still can't figure out. The other frustration comes as the stamp image seems to be splotchy. I just can't get a solid image with the PTI ink. I get much better result with Memento. Neediness to say I am disappointed.

Another half an hour passed and I finally figure out how to line up the 3 stamps together!

But the story does not end here, I need to find another ink to replace the PTI ink I got (I just want to take a break from it). Finally, I found the new pack of Memento Dew Drop dye ink- Camp Fire. The two yellow are similar in colour (Cantaloupe is a bit darker while Dandelion is a beautiful bright yellow). So I decided to stamp with this ink instead. Finally, I am able to CASE the card from the PTI design team.

Please don't mind my messy table :)

Materials:
Stamp: PTI Delightful Dahlia Additions.
Ink: Memento Cantaloupe, Dandelion, Rich Cocoa, Toffee Crunch
