A failed attempt

For those in Canada or UK, hope you all had a great long weekend. It's a beautiful day here and we had good time in the park. My girl was happily running around.

In terms of crafting, weekend is more or less "family" time especially long weekend. I always want to have some family activities together so it's less (or no) time for crafting.

Back to card making. Recently I have seen that the use of sequins seems to be in the trend. So when I visited a local dollar store I got myself a small pack of mixed colour sequins. And now, time to try out.

Of course, besides sequins, I want to try out many stamps too...and this one being top of my list: The Avery Elle Fanfare.

I so want to achieve a gradient look (from light to dark colour) but I just don't have all the dye ink I need. I can only find 3 colour in the similar colour tone and that's what I come up with.

Materials:
Stamp: Avery Elle Fanfare
Ink: Memento: Angel Pink, Rosebud, Ladybug
Others: Memory Box die, sequins

And I manage to throw in a few sequins. However, I don't feel like it looks that great on this card. But since I'm running out of my creativity I just let it be...

Overall I am not really satisfied with this card and it becomes a failed attempt...

I wouldn't call this a "failed attempt" in the least, Petti! LOVE those stamped scallops, and the sequins are a great touch! Plus, you're gradient effect is uber trendy right now. Great job!
