Grandma to be

I was commissioned to make a card for a grandma-to-be. A friend of mine would like to congratulate her coworker of having a grandchild. Not a usual occasion and I have to do a bit searching on the sentiment. At the end I stick with the simple "Congratulations Grandma-to-be". But I have to type it from the computer it's no way I find something like that in my stash.

To make this card is a bit of challenge. Usually for baby card I am going for whimsical or pastel look; or something cute and bright. However, this card goes to a "grandma" so I think "cute" and cartoon-like theme may not be appropriate. And I still want to cooperate some pastel colour (so to me it's an element of the baby card) so I decided to go a bit shabby chic (which I'm not good at). I finally found a floral background paper with pastel pink and blue (as I'm not sure baby boy or girl), and the overall colour would be creamy brown, a bit of vintage feel.

Materials:
Paper: HA Earth layering paper, Authentique Percious Collection - "Perennial" #PRE002
Stamps: HA Simple Frame S5324, Baby Girl CL145, Papertrey Ink Meadow Greens
Embellishments: Recollections Boutique Fleur mulberry paper flower, Recollections wooden leaves, ribbon, gem stones, rub-on "congratulations" sentiment, HA heart pearl
Others: SU punch, a bit of Rangers Frayed Burlap distress ink on the side.

I think you did shabby chic just fine! This is so pretty, and I'm sure the recipient was just thrilled!
