MFT and PTI felt comparison part 2

I would like to talk a bit more about the colour of the MFT and PTI felt. Hopefully can help you to decide which one you want to choose.

This is my collection (top-MFT, bottom-PTI):

A few of them are quite similar in colour. From the MFT website I can't really tell the difference of Wild Cherry(left) and Red Hot(right).

To me, wild cherry is more "red" while red hot is a bit of orange red colour. My preference would be wild cherry.

Top: PTI Pure Poppy; Bottom: MFT Wild Cherry

They are not too much difference. Although if I look carefully I can tell they are not exactly the same. But still, very similar. And I have no preference between the two.

Top: PTI Classic Kraft; Bottom: MFT Kraft

The MFT kraft colour appears to be a touch more yellowish brown and "warmer" to me. Again, I have no preference but PTI kraft appears more neutral.

Top: PTI Ocean Tides; Bottom: MFT Berrylicious Felt

I love the PTI Ocean Tides colour. From the MFT website the Berrylicious felt doesn't look like Ocean Tides at all but when they are put side by side, they appears to be in the same colour family. The Ocean Tide is a bit more on the "greenish" side, though.

Top: PTI Orange Zest; Bottom: MFT Orange Fizz

Personally, I don't like the texture of this particular MFT orange fizz felt. I definitely prefer the solid PTI orange zest felt.

Top: MFT Cotton Candy; Bottom left: Autumn Rose; Bottom Right: Hibiscus Burst

As you can see, the MFT Cotton Candy is about the middle tone between PTI Autumn Rose and Hibiscus Burst.

Top: MFT Greenjelly bean; Bottom left: Simply Chartreuse; Bottom right: Spring Moss

The MFT felt is definitely the darkest colour. This is a very good choice if you want to have darker colour for the "leaf" as an example.

If there's one more colour I would like to own, that would be the light grey or silver, which I can't find in both MFT and PTI site. Yet, I'm really looking forward to working on more felt projects. My next one? Probably a coin purse. Stay tune!
