This is what my room usually looks like (from this post):
On the left of the room,
there are a TV unit (left side of the picture) and a bookshelf. But they are not meant for my increasing collection of craft supplies. So I bought two plastic bin for the accessories (for ribbon and tools) and eventually I bought a few clear plastic drawers for the stamps. I'm more happy that I can easily find my stamps or die but still, as you can see, the path inside the room is becoming small. The "floor space" is occupied by the two big plastic bin and a bunch of plastic bags of different things. Difficult to locate things and sometimes just detour me from working in this room.
So, I decided that a makeover is needed. After browsing around and searching for budget options, I decided on the Ikea shelf. The Ikea Expedit (now becoming Kallax) is very popular but as I'd like the shelf to fill out the wall (to maximize storage), I decided on the Billy Bookshelf. The white Billy is on sale now ($69 instead of $99) (or may be it's going to be discontinued as well?). The down side is that it's not as deep as the Expedit. With the sales price I bought two Billys (one $69 and the smaller one $49), to replace my old Ikea TV unit. And I can reuse my existing smaller bookshelf.
Thank you to my hubby and my Dad, they brought back two Billy shelf last weekend (the larger Billy is actually 80lb with the packaging). And what did I do? I clear the "floor" to allow moving in the new shelf.
Next step is to move out all the stuff from the old TV storage unit. Probably time to actually get rid of things that I don't actually use/need. And then? Assemble the shelf and settle down my collection in their new home.
I'm really looking forward to this makeover and to reclaim the floor space!

I think it's always nice to have a makeover of the craft space, one would rediscover supplies that need some love! Looking forward to see part II. ;)
Oh, how fun! I love reorganizing my space -- and the bonus is that I get inspired to use what I have!
(-: Love the new look!!!!
